“Medovarus” is a heady mead, restored by the specialists from the Institute of the Mead Brewing with the help of the historical documents of different ages and people. It is prepared exclusively with natural components according to modern manufacturing standards.

In Russia of the ancient times heady meads were the most popular light alcoholic beverages at the princes’ parties, folk festivals and fairs. Such beverages were produced out of natural components, since everything was natural in those times. The aim of our company is to restore and popularize heady meads. 
The aim of the Institute of the Mead Brewing is not only to restore the recipes of the past, but also to re-interpret them creatively, considering modern tastes. No matter how numerous the variations of taste, colour and style of presenting the products are, the Institute stands by its main principle: no artificial supplements and boosters – only natural ingredients and natural fermentation.
All the elaborations of the Institute are aiming at the harmonious combination of the New and the Old. Modern technological process allows to maintain the “naturalness”, at the same time enriching the formulas with the new modern ideas.
Heady meads, elaborated by the Institute of the Mead Brewing, received the highest awards at the All-Russian exhibitions in Moscow (“Prodexpo”, “Worldfood”), Saint-Petersburg (“Beer Auction”, “Peterfood”) and at the International Food exhibition in Dijon (France).
